I've tried opening it with MS Access and SQLlite To open/view the epg database file mcepg*.db contained in the c:\program data\microsoft\ehome\ directory to see if the layout of epg data is correct for searching. One other thing I'm trying to check is if the WMC propdesc file for Indexing may have changed (need changing) the directory c:\windows\ehome\ contains a file mcsrchPH.propdesc which lists a specification for indexing. I'd appreciate any ideas people have about other checks or areas I could investigate for fixing this problem and/or if you're experiencing the same problem yourself. I know there have been recent updates to WMC wrapping up fixes e.g KB2284742 October 2010 but my understanding is that this is included in SP1 and although my system was purchased Mar 2011 it appears to be already installed. Perhaps this is a known problem or limitation? My best guess is that it might be a 64bit SP1 issue? I've also tried with a single channel (both with MC Guide Data and XMLTV guide data.

And rebuilding the Index.ģ) Performing a full-reset of WMC and resetting up TV signal.Ĥ) Using the WMC Functions: RegisterSearch and ReindexSearchRoot

Including deleting all program data.Ģ) Checking the Indexing options to ensure that Windows Media Center is included in the list of Indexed locations.

The problem seems to be restricted to the TV Guide.įor reference I have tried all of the following - without success - the problem remains the same TV Guide searching does not work:ġ) Uninstalling and reinstalling WMC using the 'Turn Windows Features On/Off' install feature. Of interest other Index related Search functions within WMC do work correctly. I've checked all the obvious things suggested by others but have reached the end of my understanding about what might be causing it. It is as if those TV Guide Search functions that rely on Indexing do not work while other, simple lookups, do work. Search: All Films will return a list ofįilms listed in the Guide. However some Guide search functions do return results e.g. Other guide search functions also return 'no results'. When you choose the Search by Title function it returns 'no results'. I've also checked on another system with the same configuration. “The Ext JS tablet support increases our productivity because we can deliver tablet versions of custom desktop apps to our customers simultaneously and with very little incremental effort.I'm unable to get the TV Guide Search function to operate within Windows Media Center.
